Lecturer in Computer Science from April 1998 to date, my duties involve:
Lecturer currently teaching four undergraduate modules (totalling 220+ students) with up to 18 hours contact time per week.
Supervising and assessing undergraduate and postgraduate taught project dissertations.
Supervising Postgraduate research students including MSc by Research and PhD.
I am currently (2008-date) supervising one research student: Dr Jane Mooney (PhD part-time)
Dr Mooney (already a qualified medical doctor) is looking at the application of learning technology for the teaching of emergency medicine theory and practice for the College of Emergency Medicine due to complete by 2015 and the supervision has involved working on projects with Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
